Warm water changes everything.

Buoyancy takes the load off painful joints, the warmth relaxes muscles and eases pain, and movements that feel impossible on land suddenly become possible. For many of our patients — especially after hip or knee replacement — the pool is where confidence comes back.

THE DIFFERENCE

Why ours is different

Very few clinics in Buckinghamshire have a hydrotherapy pool, and fewer still have sessions planned and led by physiotherapists with specialist aquatic training.

This isn’t aqua aerobics. It’s clinical rehabilitation.

WHO IT HELPS

Is hydrotherapy right for you?

Hydrotherapy reduces pain by promoting normal movement, increasing muscle length, and building strength and control. It can help with almost any condition, but it’s especially useful if you’re in pain and struggle to exercise on dry land.

Conditions that may benefit

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Low back pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Complex regional pain syndrome
  • Longstanding musculoskeletal conditions
  • Anyone too sore, stiff or unsteady to start exercising on land

Recovering from surgery

  • Pre and post knee surgery
  • ACL knee surgery
  • Hip replacement
  • Femur replacement
  • Ankle fusion surgery
  • Fractured foot
  • Fractured pelvis
  • Shoulder surgery
  • Spinal surgery

Research shows that people who start rehabilitation earlier regain independence and strength faster than those who wait for land-based exercise. In the water you can begin almost immediately after certain operations.

“Hydrotherapy is a starting point, not a destination. The water is where you rebuild trust in your body; the studio is where you make it strong.”
