Small, physio-led classes at clear levels – where good movement starts.

Matwork pilates is where good movement starts.

We focus on helping you listen to your body, supported by a physiotherapist teaching you how to move well. It builds the strength, control and mobility that everything else rests on — whether you’re returning after injury, managing a condition, or simply want to move more freely as the years go on.

THE DIFFERENCE

Why physio-led matters

Every class at Cottesloe Physio is designed and taught by chartered physiotherapists. We watch how you actually move, spot the patterns behind your aches and niggles, and adapt every exercise to what your body needs — so you’re building on solid foundations rather than working around them.

We teach big, confident movement. Let’s move well, build strength, and take the fear out of your own body.

FIND YOUR LEVEL

Never out of your depth. Never under-challenged.

You’ll be guided to the right class after your assessment.

Fundamental Pilates

Builds your foundations at a slower, mind-body pace. The place to start if pilates is new to you.

Functional Mat Pilates

Adds strength, balance and dynamic movement once your foundations are solid.

Clinical Pilates

Smaller groups focused on specific needs — healthy hips, backs, and staying strong later in life.

1:1 Pilates

One-to-one with a physiotherapist, built entirely around you. Ideal if you’d rather start privately or have a complex history.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Is matwork pilates right for you?

It’s ideal if you’re…

  • New to pilates and want to start gently
  • Building foundations before or alongside reformer
  • Managing lower back pain, hip or joint problems
  • Coming back from a long break
  • Keen to keep moving well as you age

If you’re not sure, ask us.

Your first step

Before your first class you’ll have a one-to-one assessment with a physiotherapist. It’s how we understand your history, your goals and anything your body is carrying — then steer you to the class that fits.

From there, you join classes at your level.
